Follow these steps to ensure the perfect print:
Bleed
To avoid an unwanted white border, drag all background content to the edges of your template. We’ll trim your sign between the safe area and the bleed line.
Safe Area
To prevent content from being cut off during the printing process, keep all key text and logos inside this zone.
File Format
When designing your sign, you may upload files in the form of a JPG, PNG or PDF. We recommend setting your document’s resolution to a minimum of 300 DPI and color mode of CMYK.
Our yard signs are produced off-site and are available through delivery only.
If you’ve already created content for your sign, choose the Upload Your Own option to upload your finished design as a PDF, JPG or PNG. Please refer to the design guidelines to ensure your design is ready for print before you upload it.

Yes, we offer numerous yard sign templates with arrows pointing in specific directions (left, right, up). If you don’t find one that fits your needs, you can always add arrows using the Shapes feature in our yard sign builder—available with any of our many professionally designed, customizable templates.
We offer 18" × 12" and 24" × 18" yard signs in landscape orientation, made from 4 mm corrugated plastic.
Yard signs are available in a rectangular shape with landscape orientation. We currently do not offer alternative shapes. For custom shapes and die-cutting options, please visit a print specialist at your local Staples store.
Yes, you can print on both sides—either with the same design or different ones. Select 'Double Sided' in the product configurator. In the yard sign builder, you can easily remove or re-add the back side as needed. If you want the same design on both sides, simply choose 'Link front and back designs' in the builder.
No, we currently do not offer yard signs in portrait orientation.
Yes, all of our yard signs come with a 10" × 30" galvanized H-stake that can be installed in seconds. To set it up, simply insert the stake into the ground, then slide the sign onto the stake through the grooves in the corrugated plastic.
Our yard signs are made from 4 mm corrugated plastic that is water-, weather-, and stain-resistant. This 100% waterproof material allows for outdoor use for up to 1 year.
